Cron expressions, explained and converted — in your browser

Privacy

last updated 23 September 2026

Short version: what you type into a tool stays in your browser. There is no server-side part to any tool on this site.

What happens to what you paste

Cron expressions, crontab files, job names and everything else you enter are processed by JavaScript in the page you are looking at. None of it is uploaded. A file you open in the crontab checker is read by your browser from your disk and never leaves it.

Some tools put their current state in the address bar after a # so that a copied link reopens it. Browsers do not send the part after # to the server, but anyone you share the link with can read it — do not share links containing secrets.
